Zymox is an amazing product, January 12, 2006

I had high hopes that this product would work for my dog, but thought it was too good to be true. I’m a believer now!!! My black lab has suffered with chronic ear infections his whole life. He’s a lab, so its hard to keep him out of the water, even in winter, so keeping his ears dry is always a problem. We had always tried to avoid the ear infections by drying the outside ear area and squirting a vinegar and water solution in the ears after swimming, but it usually didn’t work.

After our vacation to the lake last summer, the ear infections came back. We went to the vet, and 0. later we had our usual meds and ear drops. My dog has been through this so much that he doesn’t like anyone to even touch his ears, especially not me. He knows whats coming when I have the towel and stuff and I sit at the table and call him over. Well, it just didn’t work. We were back at square one shortly after completing the round of meds. He gets a terrible smell from his ears when they are infected and he shakes his head a lot, expecially when he barks. He also scratches at his ears causing sores around the head and on the ears.

Finally I did some research online and found ZYMOX. It sounded really good and it had some good reviews on AMAZON. I bought two bottles and as soon as it arrived began using it. On one vet’s website he recommended it be used 4 times a day for 1 to 2 weeks, so thats what I did. Within a week, his ears didn’t smell anymore, the head shaking stopped, the itching stopped and now after he barks he doesn’t shake his head.

Its been about 3 weeks since the round of ZYMOX (I did get the hydrocortizone solution) and his ears are still infection free, no smell, no discharge from the ears. He seems to be SO much happier and its funny but I think he can hear much better. He used to bark at any little sounds he heard and now, he doesn’t do that. He doesn’t mind me touching his ears either.

I love this product and will definately keep it around. It will go with us on vacation back to that lake this summer.

Excellent Stuff/ Saved Lots of $ , January 11, 2007

I have 3 dogs. They all have had their share of ears infections that always made for a trip to the vet at the cost of plus the cost of for an anti-biotic ointment for the ear. My one dog is a Coon Hound/Lab mix and had to actually have an 0 operation on his ear because the infection in his ear would not clear up. Even though we do all the ear maintenance as prescribed to prevent ear infections, this dog usually has at least 6 ear infections per year and the vet costs for each infection. We are not wealthy people. I bought Zymox Otic with 1% hydrocortisone for the first time in October because it looked like the one dog was going to need the other ear operated on and we did not have the money. I cannot tell you that I was totally shocked when his ear cleared up within 2 days using Zymox. I know my vet would never use Zymox or recommend it because he would probably go bankrupt. He used to be a great vet who really cared but them he stopped caring and started looking at his practice as a business so I know he would find something negative to say. There were absolutely no side effects from Zymox I am so happy that I found this stuff. Try it if your dog has any problems with ear infections. You will be pleasantly surprised.

My labrador’s ears are highly prone to infection. I try to “nip it in the bud”, but often the infection gets out of control and I must resort to antibiotics. Vet bills mount. Meanwhile the poor dog suffers.

I read about Zymox and was skeptical but decided it couldn’t hurt to give it a try. To my amazement, it worked! Barely one week after a bloody mess of an ear, he is completely better. I think Zymox is FASTER than antibiotics! Great product.

Pricey but excellent, May 31, 2010

Rather on the pricey side but this is definitely the best A2DP stereo bluetooth head I have tried. The number one feature is reception. With other headsets, I tend to lose reception quite quickly if I start to move away from my cell phone. With the Sennheisers, at home, I can actually walk into the next room or even go upstairs and not miss a beat. Sound quality is very good. I have trouble with in-ear headsets due to chronic ear infections that make them uncomfortable. These are larger speakers that sit on the outside of the ear. They have plenty of volume. Controls work very effectively to start, stop, pause, and play my music or podcasts. Once paired, they connect consistently with no fuss with my Android 2.1 phone. The built in microphone seems to work well for calls.

My only complaints are minor. First, this headset can sometimes become uncomfortable slightly pinching the front of my ears at the point where the neckband connects to the ear pieces; this is generally relieved by a minor readjustment of position. The other design consequence is that, because the neckband is not flexible, this headset is a bit bulky — it cannot be folded down to be stored in a pocket etc. Again, I compensate — when not in use, I tend to loop them around the handle of my briefcase or computer case. Not very sightly, but it does keep them handy and easily accessible if I get a call.

Fantastic sound from Sennheiser, August 2, 2010

This is the God-sent for the busy professional with a lot of after hours calls.

On my Motorola Droid X calls come in nicely, all i do is push the button and i am in a conversation. About 2 seconds after hanging up music is back.

I have HD800s in my home theater (auditioned comparatively and picked over Grados btw), and over and over Sennheiser delivers. I have Dolby Reference calibrated separates system with Paradigm Reference all around, bitsream SACD multichannel, etc., i don’t want to bore you with the minutia … but for the size the MM100 sound great.

I always buys Senn refurbs often for half price and quality was no exception this time. Same with the HiFi set, same with the humble PC150, and PC26 mono headset i use to mount my TrackIR and for USB mic when I sim in IL2.

Right on Sennheiser, far Eastern or not me digz ‘em!

Above average Bluetooth Stereo Headset., October 23, 2010

I purchased these Senns, along with the Moto S9-HD and the Moto S305 from a store closing sale and have been testing each for the past few days. I’ll get this out of the way first, these Sennheisers are by far my favorite of the BT headsets I bought. They are very clean with more than enough volume to overcome outside noise, should you so desire. However, these are over the ear headphones, designed to allow you to hear the world around you. A bit safer for running/walking/biking on a high traffic area.

Sound quality wise, these are exactly what I would expect from Sennheiser. Extremely detailed and clean. These aren’t for the bassheads however, as the bass could stand to be a bit more pronounced. That being said, my sole testing platform is an iPhone 3gs, which is known for a very flat frequency response. But don’t get me wrong, the bass is MUCH better than the Moto S305’s and a few other cans and IEM’s around the same price point. It’s just not what one would call “boomy”. For those that prefer lifelike reproduction, the way the engineer intended, these should be fairly pleasing.

Build quality isn’t the best I’ve seen and could stand to be improved. The neckband feels as if it will snap if stressed too much. They also aren’t as comfortable as the other two Motos, as the they kind of pinch the ear when worn as intended. I actually can only have the right side “clipped” to my ear, as the left side feels way to awkward and somewhat painful when attached. This actually affects sound quality a bit, as it’s not fully on the ear. Each person has different ears, so others may not have this problem.

I had no problem pairing these with my iPhone 3gs. Everything synced up perfectly and other than charging, worked straight from the box. The only thing that doesn’t work with Apple products is the track forward/track backward buttons. However, this isn’t a problem with the headphones themselves, but an Apple intended limitation to sell more dock licenses. Guess they don’t have enough money. If you have an external bluetooth adapter that attaches to the dock connector (like the one that comes with the S9-HD’s), all the buttons, including track forward/track backward work fine. But this kind of defeats the purpose of having on-board bluetooth.

In conclusion, I definitely like these, but they’re not what I would call perfect. They would probably be 5-star phones IF they were under 0. The fit and finish, along with the mildly-anemic bass response keeps them at a 4-star level. Again, the bass response is definitely not terrible and a lot more pronounced that some others, it’s just not going to please the bassheads out there looking for BT phones.
