In a desperate attempt to relieve a rather bothersome IBS flare, I snapped up a bottle of Lily of the Desert’s Aloe Vera Juice Stomach Formula. In reading the product description, it looked like it might help relieve most every symptom I was dealing with: bloating, burping, gas, constipation and diarrhea. The cost wasn’t that much so even if it didn’t work, I wouldn’t be out too much money.

When the item arrived, I read the bottle and vividly recall reading something like “enjoy the taste!” I will tell you, it has a taste unlike ANYTHING I have ever tasted. This is the product’s ONLY downfall. If I had to describe the taste it would be close to powdered drink mix WITHOUT any sugar WHATSOEVER.

I usually “shoot” it, grimace and take a big swig of water. P.S. and by the way, the water does not really help but………………………

Lily of the Desert Aloe Vera Juice Stomach Formula has ended my four-week IBS flare and for that, it earns a full five stars! After a week, my symptoms have diminished by 90%! I will make sure NOT to run empty on this.

Try it. You’ll hate the taste but love the effects.

Works like a charm, October 10, 2010

My stomach has always been the “reactant” part of my system. Recently I had some bloating/indigestion that it seemed I just couldn’t get rid of. Cutting back on coffee helped a little, but not much. I found this product and it took care of the problem within just a few days. Since then, I’ve tried other products that are predominantly aloe juice, rather than the stomach formula. They’re probably doing me some good, but I have definitely noticed that they don’t address my stomach symptoms.

Regarding the taste – the peppermint flavor is dominant. Compared to the others I’ve tried, this formula seems slightly less vile. I’ve gone through 3-4 bottles of aloe vera juice, all different brands, in the last couple of months. What they all have in common is their viscosity! I keep the juice in the fridge as directed and as I slam my morning shot, I always feel like I’m downing a giant shot of chilled SPIT.

Aloe Life Stomach Aloe is Better, May 17, 2010

I think this has all the right ingredients. But it’s bitter as heck and really hard to take the two tablespoons. I did finish it eventually but now I’m using Aloe Life’s Stomach Aloe formula which is much more agreeable(not awesome) and just as effective. I also found that this formula made it harder on my GERD symptoms (burning sensation).

Pretty good while it lasts…, July 16, 2010

This product was exactly what I expected it to be when I ordered it. The sizing was perfect. I’m a new mom and this product helped cinch in my belly and thighs so I could wear some of my old clothes. I was very pleased with it both times I wore it. HOWEVER… the stomach flattening panel came apart the third time I tried to put it on. It is important to note that I was very careful when I put it on and used the same amount of caution one would use to put on pantyhose. I did not run it or poke a hole in it. It just simply came undone on one side, leaving only half of my stomach supported. I was not wearing a size that was too small. No other portion of the product was stretched out or otherwise even looked worn. I am very disappointed as I was initially very pleased with the product.

Sizing chart inaccurate. The item was much smaller than claim. I even went a size above what chart recommended and waaaayy too small.

Its a great purchase!, January 10, 2011

I’m a larger person. I wear a size 18 (I ordered a XL) and this item has done wonders. I feel more comfortable and confident in my cloths with the Vendette shaper on. It washes nice and there is an area open for bathroom use. It dosent take away inches but gives me curves and slims the tummy area and back. The straps have to be adjusted or they will cut into your shoulders. But all and all its a great purchase if your looking to slim the tummy area.

Very interesting book, October 8, 2010

In this book discussed mechanisms of illness arizing, principals of curing them and clinical examples. Quite a lot of interesting passages, like “Liver can not be healthy if man has a lot of unfulfilled desires”. Very impressive clinical examples, like 10 years of diabet type 2 was cured fast. Not everything is clear, as assumed that readers know well inernal structure and connections inside human body. Propably it is as well translation issue. Anyway, it is one of the best books availible on market.

I’m a believer., November 22, 2008

Hi – I’ve NEVER written one of these before, but this stuff works. I swear:

A few years ago I felt like I was coming down with a stomach flu – I rode it out for most of the day feeling worse and worse, was sick to my stomach etc. Eventually my boyfriend went to Erehwon (health food store in LA) and was referred to this product. The store clerk said the silver counteracts with the bacteria of stomach poisoning. I have no idea what made me sick, but I took the Stomach Rescue and felt better – but I kind of felt like I’d already ahd the worse of whatever already. About a year later, same exact feeling – I felt like I was getting a flu or something – I felt nauseous and just not right. This time I had the Stomach Rescue already, took it, and immediatly felt like I’d taken the edge off. I lay down for a couple hours, continuing to feel better – and never got sick. Finally, a few months ago I ate out, and a few hours later woke up feeling like I had food poisoning. Feverish, chills, nausea. I took the Stomach Rescue – and no kidding – it was the most miraculous experience I’d had yet. Within minutes. I went from lying on the bathroom floor to my bed, slept great, woke up like nothing happened.

I would recommend keeping this in your medicine cabinet. If you start having nauseous symptoms out of the blue, try this stuff. If it doesn’t work, definitly get to a doctor and yeah, you’re out or . Aside from that, the way I look at it, it can’t hurt to try, and yes – I’m 3 for 3 with it.

Good But beware!, December 8, 1999

After reading all the great reviews about Callanetics, I jumped on the band wagon and purchased Callanetics and Quick Callanetics-Stomach. Assuming that the Stomach video would be different and a little more focused. The stomach workouts on both tapes were exactly the same. To my dismay I cannot return the Quick Callanetics, so just be aware! You can purchase the 60 minute video and have the exact same workout plus you can have all your other areas of focus as well-thighs, buns, arms etc…

Saw results quickly/in one week, September 22, 1999

My first experience with the video was as a rental. I thoroughly enjoyed the exercises and stretches and the fact that the video was only 20 minutes, which worked into my busy schedule. However, the best thing about this video is that I got immediate results. I have tried many different things to try to tone my abs — with little success for the past few years. Finally. This really works.

Created and demonstrated by Callan Pinckney, this is a “no impact” approach to exercise. The video states that these exercises will “tighten the abdominal muscles from the breastbone to the pubis/release tension in the back of the neck/lengthen the neck/release tension across the shoulder blades/expand breathing capacity by expanding the chest/lift breasts by working the pectoral muscles/eliminate double chins/release tension and stretch the entire back”.

The reasons I find this video different from most of the fare available are:
# 1: Very glamorous, and with a trim figure, Callan is a mature woman, and doesn’t try to be “cute and perky” to motivate you. With a soft and lovely voice, she slowly guides you through these calming exercises that actually have an effect on the nervous system. I have used this video not only for exercise, but to release stress and anxiety.

# 2: “Gentleness is the Key Word”. While the exercises are hard, and I can feel the “burn”, they are extemely simple, done in “triple slow motion”, and literally with no impact. I have “funny knees”, and this is the first time I have not felt them “act up” from a workout program.
# 3: It will be over before you know it. I’m amazed how fast this 20 minutes goes by.

For the last exercise, you will need the back of an armchair, or something flat and sturdy to lean up against and hold on to. I use the coffee table.
Though this is available in an hour long video that includes the other 2 “Quick Callanetics” workouts for “Legs” and “Hips and Behind”, I’d rather have them in separate videos. For those with specific “trouble spots” as well as time constraints, these videos are an efficient, relaxing, mellow way to get in shape, and Callan’s charm and peaceful demeanor make it a pleasure to invite her into your living space with this wonderful method she has created.
